Social Night-Drawing Lesson 2011

Members are pictured here, learning to draw, as part of a social evening theme: Get in Touch with Your Creative Side: Part 2 (Part 1 was: Night At the Art Gallery). Some members surprised themselves when they realized they had artistic skills. Fun was had by all and with the promise of a nude model (statue of David in the photo), the event was very well attended!!

2010 Year End Barbeque

In August, our Past-President Pat Copeman, hosted our annual year-end barbecue.
The weather, the food (pot-luck) and the laughs were all just great!
Here we are sitting around Pat's pool enjoying each other's company while the husbands
(I suspect) were enjoying a few cool ones of their own!

Christmas 2010 club get together

In December, the Soroptimists of Stoney Creek-Niagara celebrated Christmas with their partners & friends at the home of member Kathie Grosul. We drew names and bought a child’s present which best described or reminded us of that person. This turned out to be a "rousing" success. All of our gifts were donated to Women's Place - an abused women's and children's shelter.
We were delighted that we could help give these children a happier Christmas
